Senior Accountant

My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their highly successful and growing team based in Helsdon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a progressive accountancy practice, supporting a broad portfolio of clients while enjoying long-term career development and training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts, management accounts and Corporation Tax returns

• Prepare self-assessment and VAT returns, payroll and CIS

• Manage client relationships and HMRC queries

• Review work and mentor junior staff

• Onboard new clients and provide software support

• Manage deadlines, workflow and day-to-day practice operations

• Identify tax planning and additional service opportunities

• Maintain compliance with accounting, tax and AML requirements

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified

• 5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice

• Strong accounts, tax and VAT knowledge

• Client management and/or team supervision experience

• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Right to work in the UK
