Senior Accountant / Senior Payroll – Practice

I’m working on a genuinely nice opportunity with a well-established national accountancy practice that’s managed to grow without losing its family-orientated, local feel.
This role has come about because someone long-standing is leaving, and the firm wants to bring the right person in early, rather than rushing a replacement. Ideally, they’d like someone to start as soon as possible to allow for a proper handover.
It’s a hands-on senior role supporting local clients, many of whom value face-to-face relationships. The work is heavily payroll-focused (around 75%), alongside accounts and client work.
You’ll be working with:
* SAGE payroll
* CIS
* Pension scheme submissions
* VAT
* Accounts prep for sole traders & Ltd companies
(No corporates, no faceless work.)
They’re looking for someone with a practice background, senior-level experience, and who’s comfortable working independently. SAGE payroll experience is essential, with CIS and pensions experience important.
