Albion Rye Associates is working exclusively with a high-profile, specialist communications consultancy to appoint a Senior Account Manager into a growing health and life sciences practice.
This is a senior, client-facing role for an experienced consultant with a strong background in healthcare, pharmaceutical or Medtech PR. You’ll lead day-to-day delivery across multiple accounts, acting as a trusted adviser to clients while shaping campaign strategy and overseeing high-quality execution.
The role is hands-on, with a strong emphasis on earned media, corporate and product
communications, thought leadership and issues management within regulated healthcare markets.
What we’re looking for
* Agency experience delivering PR campaigns for pharma, biotech or medtech clients
* Strong understanding of healthcare communications in regulated environments (including ABPI where relevant)
* Proven ability to secure coverage across national, trade, scientific and digital media
* Excellent writing skills across press releases, briefing documents, opinion pieces and campaign content
* Experience managing client relationships, accounts and junior team members
* Confidence translating complex scientific or clinical topics into clear, compelling narratives
* Calm, considered approach to reputation and issues-sensitive communications
* A collaborative mindset and interest in working within a growing specialist consultancy
Key responsibilities
* Leading the delivery of PR and communications programmes for pharma, biotech and medtech clients
* Acting as the primary day-to-day contact and trusted adviser for clients
* Developing media strategies, story angles and thought leadership opportunities
* Overseeing production of high-quality written materials and campaign assets
* Managing account teams, budgets and timelines
* Monitoring relevant media and industry developments to identify risks and opportunities
* Supporting new business activity and organic account growth
* Mentoring and developing junior consultants
