I C Talent Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a school in Handsworth seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced SENDCo to join their team from April, following the Easter break.This is an opportunity to lead, shape and further develop inclusive practice across the school.
This is a part-time position (3 days per week). The successful candidate must be flexible in their approach to working days in line with the needs of the school.
Role Overview
The SENDCo will lead and manage the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities across the school. This includes overseeing identification and assessment processes, ensuring effective support plans are implemented, monitoring progress, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. The role involves close collaboration with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure high-quality and inclusive provision.
Person Specification
* National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) – essential
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working as a SENDCo or in a SEND leadership capacity
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
* Ability to lead, advise and support staff effectively
* Organised, proactive and adaptable
