Nurture Education is recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs, including those requiring personal care, in a welcoming primary school in Brent.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident providing both educational and personal support to pupils with complex needs.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, PMLD, and physical disabilities. The successful Teaching Assistant will play a key role in ensuring students feel safe, supported, and able to access learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support as an SEN Teaching Assistant
* Support pupils with personal care needs (including toileting, hygiene, and feeding where required)
* Assist with learning activities and adapt tasks to meet individual needs
* Support behaviour and emotional regulation
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
* Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for all pupils
* Monitor and report on student progress

* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting SEN
* Comfortable and experienced with personal care responsibilities
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
