We are seeking a proactive SEN Intervention Tutor to support students across Salford who require targeted, one-to-one support in Maths and English.

This role focuses on delivering structured intervention to learners with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and those working below expected levels or currently out of mainstream education.

You will play a key role in identifying learning gaps, improving engagement, and helping students build confidence in core subjects. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity starting after the Easter half term.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver focused Maths and English intervention sessions on a 1:1 basis.
Assess gaps in learning and implement targeted strategies to support progress.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet EHCP targets and individual learning needs.
Support behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation through consistent strategies.
Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage re-engagement with learning.
Monitor and report on student progress to parents, carers, and professionals.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience delivering intervention, tutoring, or teaching Maths and/or English.
Experience working with students with SEN, particularly in a 1:1 setting.
Strong understanding of intervention strategies and differentiated learning.
Confident behaviour management and a flexible approach.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable:
PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience supporting students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
Background in alternative provision, outreach, or intervention programmes.

This role is ideal for a resilient and adaptable tutor who is confident delivering Maths and English interventions and passionate about supporting students to overcome barriers to learning in a flexible, part-time role.
