Job Title: SEMH Tutor Maths & English (Tameside)
Location: Tameside
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week (ASAP start)

We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Tutor to work with students in Tameside, supporting them in their learning journey. The ideal candidate will deliver one-to-one tutoring in Maths and English to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping to bridge gaps in their learning and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons to students with SEMH.
Adapt lesson content and delivery to cater to different learning styles and emotional needs.
Develop positive, trusting relationships with students to create a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Help students improve their subject knowledge, study skills, and exam preparation.
Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to parents, carers, or professionals when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
Experience working with SEMH students in one-to-one or small group settings.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Desirable Qualifications:

PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
