Job Title: SEMH Tutor Maths & English (Liverpool)
Location: Liverpool
Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate)
Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week (ASAP start)
We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Tutor to join our team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will deliver one-to-one tutoring in Maths and English to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing crucial support to help them overcome learning challenges and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
Adjust lesson content and teaching pace to accommodate the emotional and educational needs of each student.
Build trusting, supportive relationships with students to create a positive and safe learning environment.
Help students improve their subject knowledge, study skills, and prepare for exams with confidence.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents, carers, or professionals as necessary.
Essential Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
Experience working with SEMH students in a one-to-one or small group setting.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable Qualifications:
PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience working with students who have Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
