We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Specialist Tutor to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Trafford. This role is perfect for an experienced tutor who can provide emotional support while also delivering academic lessons in Maths and English to help students bridge key learning gaps.

You will be working with students facing emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges, including those with Autism and ADHD. The role offers the chance to make a real impact in their educational journey, while also offering the flexibility to work around your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support for students with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and behaviour management.
Deliver Maths and English lessons tailored to the student's individual academic level and needs.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support engagement and emotional well-being.
Use de-escalation techniques and a nurturing approach to support behaviour and learning challenges.
Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that encourages academic progress and personal growth.
Track and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback to parents, carers, and professionals.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 1 years experience working with students with SEMH needs.
Experience delivering Maths and/or English at functional or GCSE level.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support emotional and academic development.
Right to work in the UK.
Must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS) or relevant experience in education or youth work.
Training in behaviour management, trauma-informed practice, or safeguarding.
Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or other additional learning needs.
