Aspire People are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEMH Careers Advisor to join a supportive school in the B14 area starting September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about guiding students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs toward meaningful education and career pathways.
The Role
Provide tailored careers guidance for SEMH students
Support pupils with college, apprenticeship, and employment options
Deliver one-to-one sessions, workshops, and group activities
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies
Help students develop confidence, independence, and employability skills
Requirements
Previous experience in careers advice, guidance, or education
Knowledge of SEMH needs and strategies for supporting these pupils
Strong communication, empathy, and motivational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external organisations
