The Role
As a Security Tutor / SIA Instructor, you will deliver interactive, learner-focused training to individuals pursuing security qualifications, door supervision licences, and SIA certifications. You will bring your real-world experience into the classroom, ensuring every learner develops practical skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the security sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and compliant training sessions across SIA and security qualifications

Assess learner competence, progress, and understanding in line with awarding body standards
*
Provide one-to-one mentoring, feedback, and support to promote achievement and confidence
*
Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes
*
Contribute to curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement initiatives
*
Ensure training meets all safeguarding, quality assurance, and health & safety requirements
*
Support learners with functional skills, conflict management, and workplace readiness
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be a confident, knowledgeable, and learner-focused Security Trainer / Assessor capable of inspiring and motivating learners.
Essential Requirements:

Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent teaching qualification
*
Assessing qualification (CAVA, TAQA, or equivalent)
*
Conflict Management Level 3 and First Aid at Work certificates
*
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the security industry
*
Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring skills
*
A commitment to delivering high-quality, learner-centred training
Desirable:

Experience delivering funded or regulated vocational qualifications
*
Understanding of awarding body standards and e-learning methods
*
Experience with SIA licence preparation training
