Shift Times: 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00

Role Overview

We are recruiting for a professional and dedicated Security Officer to work at a residential site. This role is focused on safeguarding, safety, and providing a secure and supportive environment for young residents. You will work closely with on-site staff and external stakeholders to ensure a safe and well-managed facility.

Key Requirements

*

Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) Licence

*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*

Strong conflict resolution and customer service abilities

*

Ability to work both days and nights on a 4 on / 4 off rota

*

Enhanced DBS (desirable – will be applied for and funded for successful applicants)

*

Knowledge of safeguarding children (desirable – training provided)

*

Team player with a calm and professional approach

Duties & Responsibilities

*

Ensure the safeguarding and security of minors residing on site

*

Monitor and control access to the premises

*

Conduct regular patrols of the building and grounds

*

Work collaboratively with centre staff, social services, councillors, and other stakeholders

*

Respond to incidents and emergencies, including fire marshal duties and evacuation coordination

*

Engage with emergency services when required

*

De-escalate situations and manage conflict effectively

*

Complete accurate reports and incident logs
