We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Security Officer to help keep our people, premises and visitors safe. You will provide a visible security presence, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of vigilance and integrity.
£14.07 per hour working 4 on 4 off
06.00-18.00 and 18.00-06.00
Key responsibilities
Carry out regular patrols of the site (internal and external) and monitor CCTV/alarm systems.
Control access/egress, issue visitor passes and maintain accurate records and logs.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and alarm activations, escalating where required.
Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors and contractors, acting as a professional point of contact.
Support safety and security procedures including fire, evacuation and first response protocols (training provided where needed).
Complete clear written reports for incidents, hazards and daily handovers.
Assist with lock/unlock duties and key management in line with site procedures.

What we’re looking for
Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal calmly with challenging situations.
Good observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to follow procedures.
Basic IT skills for report writing and logging incidents.
Reliable and punctual, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Desirable: First Aid at Work certificate, CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) licence, previous security or customer-facing experience
