Security Manager – Planning, Mobilisation & Assurance

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead critical planning, mobilisation, and assurance activities across one of the UK’s most iconic event venues during a pivotal operational phase. This hands-on role ensures security standards are implemented effectively, providing confidence and assurance to both clients and stakeholders. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, oversee service partner outputs, and deliver high-quality operational documentation, enabling the Head of Security to focus on strategy, governance, and senior stakeholder engagement.
The Role:
Security Planning & Documentation
Reporting to the Head of Security, you will lead the creation, refinement, and quality assurance of client-side Security Standards, SOPs, protocols, and operational guidance.
Ensure alignment between service partners’ emergency procedures and governance frameworks.
Integrate documentation with landlord, tenant, and event operations to maintain seamless security complianceProject & Workstream Leadership
Drive planning and mobilisation projects from initiation to completion, coordinating inputs across Operations, M&E, Logistics, Cleaning, and external stakeholders.
Maintain clear timelines, action trackers, and risk logs, escalating key decisions to the Head of Security.Desktop Exercises & Validation
Design and facilitate desktop/tabletop exercises, capturing lessons learned and embedding improvements into operational practice.
Produce actionable improvement plans and track completion to ensure continuous operational readiness.Service Partner & Contractor Assurance
Provide client-side oversight of security service partner mobilisation activities.
Review and quality-assure contractor and consultant outputs, ensuring consistency with company standards and operational intent.
Constructively challenge outputs where necessary to meet agreed standards.Stakeholder Coordination
Represent the security function in operational planning forums.
Engage with occupiers and their service providers to ensure integrated, proportionate, and consistent security delivery.
Escalate policy or strategic matters to the Head of Security when required.The Person:
Essential:
Experience in complex, high-footfall environments such as live entertainment events venues, retail centres, mixed-use estates, or large-scale public venues.
Proven ability to write and review SOPs, emergency procedures, and security protocols.
Experience leading defined projects or workstreams.
Strong experience designing and facilitating desktop/tabletop exercises.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to operate independently within delegated authority.Desirable:
Experience in live entertainment, events, or public-facing venues.
Background in mobilisation or transition into live operations.
Relevant security, resilience, or emergency planning qualifications.Role Context
