Security Guard

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Security Operatives for multiple temporary positions on behalf of our client at a secure facility in Manchester. The roles involve 12-hour day and night shifts, with candidates required to work across a Monday–Sunday rota.
Overview:
The role holders will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of security across a sensitive and controlled environment. The successful candidates will carry out general security duties, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, buildings and designated areas.
Main Duties:

Conduct regular internal and external patrols of sensitive and restricted areas
*
Monitor and maintain the security of designated areas and facilities
*
Validate and check visitor credentials and access permissions
*
Escort authorised visitors and contractors to their designated locations
*
Control and monitor access to secure areas
*
Maintain accurate security records, logs and incident reports
*
Respond appropriately to security incidents, alarms and emergencies
*
Challenge and report any suspicious or unauthorised activity
*
Follow all site security procedures, policies and client instructions
*
Provide a professional and courteous security presence at all times
*
Work closely with site management and other security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment
Essential Criteria:
*
Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence
*
Current SC Clearance
*
Previous experience within security, guarding or a similarly controlled environment
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Professional appearance and approach
*
Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
*
Strong attention to detail
*
Ability to follow strict security procedures and instructions
*
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
*
Flexibility to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends, nights and public holidays as required
