Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced Secondary Tutor to provide individualised educational support to a learner in Sefton.
The successful candidate will be able to create structured, engaging sessions while adapting tuition to the learner's academic level and individual circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised 1:1 secondary tuition
Support core subjects according to learner requirements
Identify and address areas of academic difficulty
Plan engaging and appropriately challenging lessons
Adapt resources and teaching methods
Develop learner confidence and positive learning habits
Monitor and report on progress
Requirements
Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners
Strong subject knowledge in at least one core subject
Previous 1:1 tuition experience desirable
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Flexible and learner-centred approach
Experience working with SEND or additional needs advantageous
QTS, PGCE or relevant tutoring experience desirable
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Right to Work in the UK
