Science Technician - Secondary School (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)
Location: Lewisham, South East London

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Lewisham on a full-time basis (5 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role who is passionate about supporting high-quality science education.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

Supporting teachers during practical experiments when required

Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources

Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed within the science laboratories

Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate inventory records

Safely storing chemicals and disposing of laboratory waste in accordance with regulations

Requirements

Previous experience as a Science Technician within a school or laboratory environment

Strong subject knowledge in science (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)

A degree in a science-related subject is preferred

Excellent organisational and communication skills

A proactive and reliable approach to supporting teaching staff and students

A strong understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures
