Site Manager (Part-Time)

A welcoming and community-focused primary academy within a respected multi-academy trust is seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of its premises.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, organised and self-motivated individual who takes pride in maintaining safe, secure and well-presented facilities for children, staff and visitors.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school environment. Duties will include:
Managing the security of the school site, including opening and closing procedures
Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs and minor DIY tasks
Overseeing contractors and supporting site improvement projects
Managing health and safety requirements, compliance checks and statutory inspections
Maintaining school grounds to a high standard
Responding promptly to site issues and emergencies as they arise
Supporting the setup of rooms and facilities for school events and activities
Working closely with school leaders to ensure the premises effectively support teaching and learning
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has practical maintenance, caretaking or facilities management experience
Possesses strong DIY and problem-solving skills
Has a good understanding of health and safety responsibilities
Can work independently and use initiative effectively
Is reliable, flexible and responsive to the needs of a busy school environment
Communicates well with staff, contractors and external agencies
Takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for children
Previous experience within an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
