Caretaker / Cleaner - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week) - Croydon
We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Cleaner to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school environment in Croydon. This is a full-time position (5 days per week) and is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and site maintenance within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
Maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds
Carrying out routine cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school site
Undertaking basic maintenance tasks and reporting any repairs required
Ensuring health and safety standards are upheld at all times
Assisting with opening and closing the school site where required
Requirements
Previous experience working as a caretaker, site assistant, or cleaner, ideally within a school or similar environment
Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, site maintenance, and health and safety practices
A proactive and dependable approach to work
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
A degree is preferred, although not essential for candidates with substantial relevant experience
A valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
