Part-Time School Caretaker - Sittingbourne
Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday to Friday, Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)
Pay: £15+ per hour
We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a friendly and supportive school in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities professional looking for a long-term role within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Opening and securing the school premises each day
Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs and general handyman duties
Undertaking routine health and safety checks across the site
Ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, clean and well maintained
Setting up classrooms, halls and other areas for school events and activities
Monitoring site security and reporting any maintenance issues
Supporting with deliveries, contractor visits and site access arrangements
Assisting with the day-to-day upkeep of school facilities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, Facilities Assistant, Maintenance Operative or in a similar role
Good practical maintenance and DIY skills
A strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities
The ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively
A flexible, hands-on and dependable approach
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
