Shape the projects. Win the specifications. Deliver the growth.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of engineered safety equipment, protecting people working in some of the world's most demanding industrial environments. They're looking for an International EPC & Project Manager to own their engagement with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors, engineering consultants and key end users across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

This isn't a desk-bound role. You'll be in the room early — influencing specifications before the bid even lands, then guiding projects all the way from first enquiry through to delivery, commissioning and lessons learned. You'll manage a pipeline worth ~£6M, and if you thrive at the intersection of technical credibility and commercial sharpness, this is your role.

Location: Hybrid, based from our client's Manchester site — mostly office-based, with regular international travel across your assigned regions. Ideally commutable to Manchester.

What you'll do

* Build the pipeline. Own and develop EPC, consultant and key end-user relationships worth £6M across your regions, converting early project intelligence into a qualified pipeline and profitable sales growth.

* Get in early. Visit EPCs, engineering firms and customers regularly to spot projects at the specification stage and position our solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

* Win the technical argument. Review bid packages, specifications, datasheets and drawings; identify risks and deviations; and work with Engineering and Sales to build technically sound, competitive proposals.

* Influence and educate. Deliver technical presentations, lunch-and-learn sessions and training that build product knowledge and specification preference with the engineers who matter.

* Close with confidence. Lead technical and commercial clarifications through bid and negotiation, supporting pricing strategy and keeping opportunity and account data razor sharp.

* Own the execution. Review contracts and purchase orders against the final quotation, then manage awarded projects cross-functionally — schedules, drawings, documentation, inspections, witness testing, long-lead items, stage payments and delivery milestones.

* Protect the margin. Monitor project performance, cost, cash flow and risk, resolve issues proactively and capture lessons learned to sharpen future bids.

What you'll bring

* Experience: Minimum 3 years in a technical-commercial, EPC, project management, proposal engineering, application engineering or industrial sales role. Experience working with EPCs and complex engineered equipment is strongly preferred.

* Education: Relevant Qualifications in Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline is preferred — though an equivalent combination of technical education and hands-on experience counts just as much.

* Technical depth: You can interpret EPC specifications, datasheets, drawings and bid packages with ease, and you understand engineered industrial equipment and electrical requirements. Awareness of ATEX/IECEx and relevant regional codes and standards is a plus.

* Commercial instincts: Consultative selling, business development, negotiation and pricing strategy — you know how to convert technical credibility into profitable growth.

* People skills without the title: No direct reports here, but you'll lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate subcontractors, installers and commissioning resources — influencing stakeholders inside and outside the business without direct authority.

* Tools of the trade: Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office and project-management tools, plus the confidence to develop and deliver technical presentations.

* Global mindset: Comfortable working across cultures, time zones and multiple concurrent projects — with quarterly international travel across your regions, plus a hybrid working pattern of mainly office-based days in Manchester.

What's on offer

* £50,000–£60,000 base salary

* 15% annual bonus

* Comprehensive benefits package

* Progression & Development opportunities
