The Opportunity

The Greek Deli is seeking a driven and dynamic Sales Manager to help elevate our brand and expand our footprint across all areas of the food sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business supplying premium Greek food products to retailers, delicatessens, restaurants, and the wider food service industry.

🍽️ The Role

As our Sales Manager, you will play a key role in increasing the company’s market presence and driving sales across multiple channels including:

Independent and national retailers

*

Delicatessens and speciality food shops

*

Restaurants, cafés, and catering businesses

*

Food service providers and distributors

*

The wider food manufacturing and food industry sector

Your primary focus will be to identify, develop, and win new business opportunities while nurturing strong, lasting relationships with customers.

This role offers autonomy and flexibility, giving you the freedom to manage your own schedule while delivering results.

📌 Key Responsibilities

Generate new business across all food sector channels.

*

Build, develop, and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects.

*

Conduct face-to-face and virtual sales meetings, product introductions, and presentations.

*

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable product solutions.

*

Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to maximise profitability.

*

Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

*

Represent The Greek Deli at trade shows, food festivals, and industry events.

*

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.

*

Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer service.

✔️ Requirements

*

Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience in the food and drink sector (retail, food service, wholesale, or similar).

*

A strong network or understanding of the UK food market is highly desirable.

*

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

*

Highly organised with a proactive and goal-driven attitude.

*

Strong business development mindset with the ability to win and grow accounts.

*

Self-motivated, confident, and capable of working independently.

*

A genuine interest in high-quality food products will be an advantage.
