We are partnering with a growing process solutions company expanding its UK operations, scaling from 10 to 100 employees over the next 3–4 years. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically driven Sales Engineer to combine technical expertise with commercial insight while supporting a diverse customer base.

Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will support the sale of advanced laboratory and process equipment across scientific research, teaching, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing environments. This role blends hands-on technical knowledge with commercial skills to guide customers from enquiry through to solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with research institutions, universities, pharmaceutical companies, and chemical manufacturers

Understand customer applications and translate technical requirements into effective equipment solutions

Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals

Support tenders, quotations, and contract negotiations in collaboration with internal teams

Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including application advice and troubleshooting

Work closely with engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure successful solution delivery

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback

Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reports

Candidate Requirements

Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, chemistry, life sciences, or a related discipline

Experience in technical sales or applications engineering within laboratory, scientific, or process equipment

Strong understanding of laboratory, research, or production environments

Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and negotiation skills

Full UK driving licence

Willingness to travel to customer sites
