Sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment
Job Title: Sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment
Industry Sector: Electrical, Appliances, Electronics Manufacturing, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Electrical Wholesalers, Energy Distribution, Wiring Accessories, Lighting Connection, Lighting Controls, Building Automation
Area to be covered: East Anglia (postcodes; NR, IP, CO, CM & SS)
Remuneration: £50,000-£60,000 + up to 4 months’ salary as a bonus
Benefits: Hybrid car or EV & full benefits
The role of the Sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment will involve:
* Field sales position selling a manufactured range of electrical equipment including; energy distribution, wiring accessories, lighting connection & control and building automation
* 40% of your time stimulating demand for these products via electrical installers/ sub-contractors (you will inherit circa 60 warm relationships with installers on the area)
* 60% managing relationships with circa 90-110 electrical wholesalers on patch
* Responsible for an area achieving circa £8m turnover
* Demand generation is key to this role
* Four days on the road visiting customers, one day working from home/ administration
* Typically 4customer visits per day
The ideal applicant will be a sales Engineer – Electrical Equipment with:
* Field sales experience within the electrical sector
* Must have created demand with electrical installers/ electrical sub-contractors and ideally managed and built relationships with electrical wholesalers
* Open on electrical product backgrounds
* Any knowledge of; energy distribution, wiring accessories, lighting connection & control and building automation may be beneficial but not essential
* Demonstrable track record in new business and account management
* Personable, team player, people person, driven and enthusiastic
