Sales and Estimating Engineer

About the Role:
Shorterm Group is working with a leading precision engineering company seeking an experienced Sales and Estimating Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong CNC machining background and commercial acumen to drive sales growth and manage quoting activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop client relationships, driving profitable sales growth with new and existing customers.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates from technical drawings and customer data.
- Conduct contract reviews, load orders into the system, and create BOMs.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and meet deadlines.
- Attend sales meetings and provide accurate forecasts, identifying opportunities and risks.
What We're Looking For:
- Apprentice-trained or minimum 5 years' experience in CNC Milling/Turning.
- Programming knowledge and experience ideal.
- Aerospace subcontracting industry knowledge, including approvals and contracts.
- Strong commercial skills with the ability to understand detailed costings and estimates.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, professional, and flexible to travel as required.
