We are partnering with a well-established organisation based in Watford to recruit a Sales & Marketing Executive to join their supportive and friendly team.

This not-for-profit trade body has been operating for over 100 years and plays a key role in setting industry standards. They are committed to ensuring their members deliver high-quality services while safeguarding customer interests.

This is a newly created, permanent position, fully office-based, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Role Overview
The primary focus of this role is to grow membership numbers, enhance the organisation's presence across social media platforms, and plan and deliver effective membership recruitment campaigns. The successful candidate will work closely with the Membership team to support business growth and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Generate leads through inbound enquiries, referrals, events, and regional networks
Proactively contact prospective members via telephone to assess interest, communicate the organisation's value, and convert enquiries into applications
Plan and deliver multi-channel recruitment campaigns using email, social media, and phone outreach
Produce engaging promotional content across print, digital, audio, and video formats
Identify and implement new marketing initiatives
Assess prospective members against set criteria and support them through the application process, including arranging inspections or assessments where necessary
Coordinate the onboarding process for new members, including issuing welcome packs and setting up system access
Take minutes at meetings when required
Support member retention through regular communication, event promotion, and identifying at-risk members for escalation
Carry out additional administrative duties as needed

Person Specification

Confident communicator with a proactive approach to outbound sales calls
Experience in sales or business development
Previous marketing experience, including familiarity with social media platforms
Strong team player with a professional and respectful approach
Good organisational and administrative skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Self-motivated, conscientious, and proactive
