Business Development & Account Executive
£32,000 + £6,000 car allowance + bonus | Permanent | Full-time
We are looking for a driven and personable Business Development & Account Executive to join an established and successful business.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for winning new customers, growing sales and developing long-term relationships with an existing customer portfolio. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys the challenge of new business development but also understands the importance of excellent account management and customer retention.
The Role
* Develop new business by identifying and approaching prospective customers
* Arrange and attend customer and prospect visits
* Build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers
* Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio
* Identify opportunities to increase sales through upselling and account development
* Achieve agreed individual sales targets and business objectives
* Provide a consistently high level of customer service
* Respond promptly to customer enquiries and sales requests
* Maintain accurate records and track sales performance
* Keep up to date with products, industry developments and sales techniques
* Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure customers receive an excellent service
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

* A confident communicator with strong follow-up skills
* Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
* Professional, reliable and commercially aware
* Assertive and confident when developing new business
* Flexible and able to communicate effectively at all levels
* A genuine new business hunter who also enjoys developing existing accounts
* Target-driven and motivated by achieving results
Experience selling to contract caterers, hotels and restaurants, would be advantageous but is not essential.
