Rent & Service Charge Accountant required to join one of our not for profit organisations based in Liverpool. The Rent & Service Charge Accountant will be responsible for calculating, reconciling, and monitoring property service charge income and expenditure and preparing annual budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities;
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop accurate service charge budgets, estimates, and year-end actuals.
Reconciliation: Perform regular, detailed reviews and reconciliations of service charge accounts to identify anomalies.
Compliance: Ensure all charges comply with relevan regulations, legislation, and lease obligations.
Stakeholder Management: Respond to queries from residents, leaseholders, and internal teams regarding charges.
Data Analysis: Analyze large volumes of property financial data to provide actionable insights. Required Skills and Experience;
Experience: Proven experience in a Service Charge Accountant or similar role
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Knowledge: Strong understanding of service charge legislation and best practices.
Analytical Ability: High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for explaining financial information to stakeholders.
Qualification: Ideally Qualified/Part Qualified AAT, CIMA,ACA, ACCA or equivalent
