Locum Childcare Solicitor - Fully Remote Opportunity π¨
I'm currently working with a Local Authority seeking an experienced Locum Childcare Solicitor to join their well-established Legal Services Team
π Initial 3-Month Contract (strong likelihood of long-term rolling extensions)
π· Β£60 per hour
π Fully Remote Working (candidates must be based within the EU during working hours)
β° 37 Hours Per Week (compressed hours may be considered)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, supportive and experienced childcare legal team, handling a varied caseload while supporting Children's Services within a busy Local Authority environment.
Key Responsibilities:
β Managing a busy caseload of Childcare matters with minimal supervision
β Progressing care proceedings independently from inception through to conclusion
β Preparing legal documentation and advising on case strategy throughout proceedings
β Providing proactive and reliable legal support to Children's Services
β Attending meetings and providing legal advice where required
β Supporting the wider Childcare team with ongoing casework demands
β Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for service users

Essential Requirements:
πΉ Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX Lawyer
πΉ Significant experience handling Childcare Law matters for a Local Authority
πΉ Experience managing a caseload of care proceedings independently
πΉ Strong knowledge of public childcare law and court processes
πΉ Ability to work proactively and effectively within a remote environment
πΉ Availability to work 37 hours per week
πΉ Advocacy experience is advantageous but not essential
