Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic children's residential home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and staff performance. You will create a stable, trauma-informed environment that supports children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the home through Ofsted registration and maintain compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Manage and develop staff, including recruitment, supervision, rotas, and performance management.
Deliver high-quality, child-centred and trauma-informed care.
Take lead responsibility for safeguarding, risk management, and incident response.
Oversee care planning, admissions, placement stability, and positive outcomes for children.
Build strong relationships with social workers, families, schools, and external professionals.
Manage budgets, staffing costs, and operational performance.
Drive continuous improvement to achieve and maintain a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.Essential Requirements

Experience in children's residential care and leadership/management.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements, and Children's Homes Regulations.
Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and enhanced DBS.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).Desirable

Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager.
Experience opening or registering a new home.
