Breast Radiology Consultant Required – Insourcing Work (Essex)
Location: Essex
Schedule: Saturdays (initial 3-month contract)
Pay Rate: £1,500 per day
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist to support insourcing work at a leading NHS site in Essex. The role involves breast imaging and reporting within a well-supported and professional environment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Clinical Duties
* Perform and interpret all types of breast imaging studies, including:
* Mammography (screening and diagnostic)
* Breast ultrasound
* Breast MRI
* Conduct image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures:
* Stereotactic core biopsies
* Ultrasound-guided core and vacuum-assisted biopsies
* MRI-guided biopsies
* Fine needle aspirations (FNAs)
* Preoperative localization (wire, seed, or other techniques)
* Provide second opinions and review external imaging where appropriate.
* Participate in the Breast Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, contributing to diagnosis, staging, and management planning.
* Ensure timely reporting and communication of imaging results to referring clinicians.

Requirements:
* GMC Specialist Registration in Radiology (mandatory)
* Extensive experience in Breast Radiology
* Availability on Saturdays for the duration of the contract
