About the Company:

Our client is a well-established and stable engineering company based in Great Chesterford, known for its high-quality products and strong commitment to continuous improvement. Due to growth, they are now looking to appoint a Quality Engineer to support their quality assurance processes and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Role Overview:

As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet required standards and specifications. You will play a key role in driving quality improvements, managing non-conformances, and supporting audits and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and improve internal quality processes and procedures

*

Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances

*

Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

*

Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports and procedures

*

Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout manufacturing

*

Assist with internal and external audits (e.g. ISO 9001)

*

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in products and processes

*

Support training and development of shop-floor staff in quality awareness

Candidate Requirements:

*

Previous experience in a Quality Engineering or related quality role within engineering or manufacturing

*

Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies (e.g. 8D, CAPA, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis)

*

Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards

*

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

*

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

*

Good attention to detail and organisational ability

*

Proficient in using MS Office and quality reporting systems
