About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate QTS Maths & English Tutor to join our team in Trafford. This flexible, part-time role offers a minimum of GBP30 per hour, with the possibility of an increase based on your availability. The role involves working with students who have high Special Educational Needs (SEN), so the ideal candidate will be confident in building positive relationships and managing challenging behaviours.

Sessions will take place during school hours, and you will have the flexibility to deliver lessons in school, at the student's home, or online. The position is for approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours depending on your availability and the needs of the students.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, tailored Maths and English lessons, adjusting content and pace to meet individual student needs.
Provide support to students with high SEN needs, establishing strong relationships and helping them overcome academic challenges.
Manage challenging behaviours effectively, using compassionate and proactive strategies.
Track progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and relevant staff.
Prepare and implement individualised lesson plans, ensuring a supportive and flexible approach to learning.

Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English at primary or secondary level.
Confidence in supporting students with high SEN needs and managing challenging behaviours.
Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
You must be cleared to work with children (DBS check required).
References from the last two years of employment will be required.

The role is part-time, with sessions during school hours (Monday to Friday).
Sessions will take place in school, at the students home, or online, depending on your availability and the preferences of the student.
