About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths & English Tutor to join our team in Liverpool. This flexible, part-time role offers GBP30 per hour minimum, with the potential to increase based on your availability. You will be working with students who have high Special Educational Needs (SEN), so the ability to build strong relationships and manage challenging behaviours is essential.

Sessions will take place during school hours and can be delivered in school, at the students home, or online, depending on your availability and student needs. The role is for approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours depending on demand and your schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and tailored Maths and English lessons that meet the individual needs of each student.
Support students with high SEN needs, building their academic confidence and helping them to overcome learning challenges.
Manage and address challenging behaviours using supportive and effective strategies.
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and relevant school staff.
Develop and implement personalised lesson plans to accommodate different learning styles.

Essential Requirements

Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English at primary or secondary level.
Confidence in supporting students with high SEN needs and managing challenging behaviours.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
You must be cleared to work with children (DBS check required).
References from the last two years of employment will be requested.

The role is part-time, with sessions taking place during school hours (Monday to Friday).
