About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate QTS Maths & English Tutor to join our team in Salford. This is a flexible, part-time role with an ASAP start, offering a minimum of GBP30 per hour, which can increase depending on your availability. The role will be focused on delivering lessons to students with high Special Educational Needs (SEN), so a confident approach to building relationships and managing challenging behaviours is essential.

The role offers flexibility in terms of where the sessions take place: in school settings, at the student's home, or online. Sessions will be during school hours, and the position is for approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours depending on your availability and student needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised Maths and English lessons, adapting content and pace to meet the needs of each student.
Provide tailored support for students with high SEN needs, fostering positive relationships and overcoming learning barriers.
Manage and support students with challenging behaviours using effective and empathetic strategies.
Track student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school staff.
Create and implement structured lesson plans, with a flexible approach to meet each student's needs.

Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and English at primary or secondary level.
Confidence in working with students with high SEN needs and managing challenging behaviours.
Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
You must be cleared to work with children (DBS check required).
References from the last two years of employment will be required.

Additional Information

The role is part-time, with sessions taking place during school hours (Monday to Friday).
Sessions can be in-school, at the student's home, or online, depending on your availability and the students preferences.
The role offers flexibility in terms of working hours, with the potential to increase hours based on availability and student demand.
