Hands-On Night Work with Real Career Progression in Rail!

The Role and About You

Working permanent night shifts from 21:30pm to 04:30am on a 7-night roster, you will play a key role in ensuring trains are cleaned, prepared, and presented to the highest standards before entering passenger service. The role involves both interior and exterior cleaning duties within a busy engineering depot environment. Responsibilities include deep cleaning, sanitising, hoovering, waste removal, toilet servicing, exterior washing, graffiti removal, and working with specialist cleaning equipment and rail-approved chemicals.

Previous experience in cleaning or manual labour is a plus, and you’ll be working in a role that is active, engaging, and vital to the smooth running of the railway. Reliability, safety, and a hands-on approach are valued, and successful candidates will receive full training and PPE to support you in your role. All new starters will complete a Network Rail medical and drug and alcohol screening, ensuring a safe and professional working environment.

The Company

You will be supporting a well-established UK rail operator responsible for delivering thousands of passenger journeys every day across key commuter and regional routes. The organisation operates one of the largest and most complex rail networks in the country, connecting major cities and communities.
