Empowering Learning is recruiting a motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to work 1:1 with pupils in a school based in the Wigan area. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs and to build valuable experience for a future career in psychology, education, or mental health.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
Support pupils with engagement, regulation, and social development
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement support strategies
Monitor progress and contribute to pupil development plans
Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
A degree in Psychology (or a related subject)
A strong interest in child psychology, SEN, or mental health
Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
