About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Project Manager to join a leading healthcare environment, delivering critical projects across hospital estates. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring someone who is confident working within live healthcare settings, including highly technical and regulated environments such as operating theatres.
You will be responsible for scoping, managing, and delivering a variety of mechanical, electrical, and building services projects across private healthcare facilities. This role requires someone who can confidently walk into a plant room, assess systems, understand requirements, and accurately scope and price works.
This is a Tier 1-style environment, so strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and structured delivery processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of healthcare estate projects across multiple sites
* Attend site visits, undertake technical surveys, and accurately scope works
* Produce quotations and support bid/estimation processes for small to medium works
* Oversee project delivery including planning, contractor management, cost control, and reporting
* Ensure compliance with healthcare standards including HTM (Health Technical Memoranda)
* Work within live hospital environments, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical services
* Liaise with hospital stakeholders, estates teams, and clinical staff, including theatre managers
* Manage multiple concurrent projects across a regional patch (Leeds to South Coast)
* Ensure all works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to programme

About You
We are looking for a well-rounded technical project professional with a strong background in facilities management, maintenance, or healthcare projects, ideally from a larger Tier 1 or national FM / construction / engineering business.
You will bring:
* Strong technical understanding of building services (mechanical/electrical bias desirable)
* Proven experience in healthcare environments (NHS or private hospitals)
* Solid working knowledge of HTMs and healthcare compliance frameworks
* Ability to scope works independently from site surveys and technical assessments
* Experience managing projects from concept through to completion
* Confidence working in complex, live operational environments
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clinical and non-technical stakeholders
* Experience within operating theatres or critical healthcare environments is highly desirable
* Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays

Travel Requirements
This role is based in the Midlands, but requires regular travel across the UK, primarily from Leeds through to the South Coast, depending on project location. Flexibility for overnight stays will be required.
