A well-established construction consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager at intermediate level who is degree qualified and either chartered or working towards chartership.
The Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of construction projects, supporting delivery from inception through to completion. This Project Manager role would suit a capable Project Manager who is comfortable working with clients, consultants, and contractors and wants to continue developing within a supportive consultancy environment. The successful Project Manager will be given increasing responsibility and the opportunity to manage their own commissions as their experience develops.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will support and lead projects through both pre-contract and post-contract stages across Manchester and the wider North West.
The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement support, contract administration, risk management, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
The Project Manager will attend and chair meetings where appropriate, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor project performance, and help ensure schemes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will have:
Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Several years' project management experience at intermediate level
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or be actively working towards chartership
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction project delivery
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Experience coordinating consultants and contractors
A proactive and professional approach
