A well-established construction and property consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to work across a varied portfolio of retail, commercial, residential, and leisure projects while developing their career within an experienced consultancy environment.

The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. This Project Manager role would suit a confident Project Manager who enjoys variety and is comfortable taking ownership of commissions. The successful Project Manager will have strong client-facing skills, be able to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage programme, risk, reporting, and project delivery effectively.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will lead retail, commercial, residential, and leisure projects through both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

The Project Manager will chair meetings, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor contractor performance, and maintain strong relationships with clients. They will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality while providing clear professional advice throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Experience across retail, commercial, residential, leisure, or similar property projects
Experience delivering projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills
A proactive and commercially aware approach
