A well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Leeds is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. The successful Project Manager will work across a varied portfolio of projects throughout Yorkshire, gaining exposure to different sectors and working closely with experienced professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking to take on greater responsibility while continuing to develop within a respected consultancy environment.
The Project Manager will support projects from initial feasibility and design through procurement, construction and handover. Working closely with clients, consultants and contractors, the Project Manager will help coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor programmes and manage project risks. This position would suit an ambitious Project Manager with existing consultancy experience who is comfortable in a client-facing role and wants to build a broad portfolio of project experience.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and managing projects through multiple RIBA stages, ensuring client objectives are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
Responsibilities will include preparing and monitoring project programmes, coordinating consultant teams, attending and chairing meetings, managing risk registers, supporting procurement strategies and producing clear client reports.
The Project Manager will also monitor construction progress, manage change control and maintain effective communication between clients, contractors and wider project teams.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will ideally have:
Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
Experience delivering projects across multiple RIBA stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB qualification, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of construction processes, procurement routes and contracts
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
Excellent organisation and communication skills
A proactive and commercially aware approach
