We're recruiting for a growing engineering manufacturer looking to add a CAD / Project Engineer to its Engineering team.
This is a varied role that would suit someone with a mechanical, electrical, electronic or product design background who enjoys a mix of CAD design, technical problem solving, customer interaction and project support.

The Role
Working closely with customers, engineering teams and production, you'll support bespoke projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings using SolidWorks (training available).
* Supporting customers with technical product enquiries.
* Producing technical proposals, reports and engineering documentation.
* Supporting engineering projects from enquiry through to delivery.
* Providing technical support, troubleshooting and problem solving.
* Assisting with product testing, evaluation and new product development.
* Carrying out quality inspections on incoming components.
* Supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Working closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement and Customer Service teams.
* Occasional UK and international travel to support customer projects and installations.
About You
You don't need to tick every box. We're looking for someone with a solid engineering background who enjoys learning and wants to build a long-term career.
You'll ideally have:
* A background within Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Product Design Engineering.
* CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks.
* Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers.
* A practical, hands-on approach.
* Good attention to detail.
* The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
* A full UK driving licence.
* A valid passport or willingness to travel occasionally.
