About the Role
A vibrant and inclusive Lambeth primary school near Stockwell Station is seeking a confident and creative Primary Teacher to take on a Year 5 class from January. This is a full-time, long-term position within a well-established 3-form entry structure.
You will lead a lively, diverse, and enthusiastic Year 5 class of 28 pupils, supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant during core subjects. The class is described as hardworking, polite, and curious-particularly strong in reading, with several pupils requiring booster support in Maths. Planning is shared across the year group to ensure consistency and manageable workload.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking to appoint a Primary Teacher who:
Has solid KS2 experience and strong curriculum knowledge
Can maintain high expectations and foster independent learning
Is confident differentiating for mixed abilities, including EAL learners
Enjoys collaborative planning with parallel Year 5 teachers
Brings warmth, energy, and excellent behaviour management
