We are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and supportive Primary School in Kingstanding, Birmingham, seeking an enthusiastic School Cleaner to join their site team on a part-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school cleaner or someone with relevant professional cleaning experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
The successful candidate will be joining a school that prides itself on creating a positive and nurturing environment for both pupils and staff.
Role Details
* Position: Primary School Cleaner
* Location: Kingstanding, Birmingham
* Hours: 3:30pm to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
* Contract: Part-Time
* Duration: Long-Term
* Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
As a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school remains clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for maintaining high cleaning standards throughout classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
* Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
* Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
* Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and toilet facilities
* Wiping down surfaces, desks, and touch points
* Replenishing cleaning supplies where required
* Following health and safety procedures at all times
* Reporting any maintenance or site concerns to the relevant staff member
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or educational setting
* A strong attention to detail
* A reliable and punctual approach to work
* The ability to work independently and efficiently
* Knowledge of cleaning procedures and health and safety practices
* A professional and positive attitude
* An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within a school environment
