We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Premises Officer / Caretaker to join a welcoming and well-established secondary school setting in Lambeth. About the Role
As a Premises Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school environment is safe, secure, and well-maintained for students, staff, and visitors. You will take ownership of the day-to-day site operations, contributing to the smooth running of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school premises
Carry out routine inspections, repairs, and basic maintenance tasks
Ensure health and safety regulations are consistently met
Manage site access, including opening and closing procedures
Liaise with contractors and external service providers
Support with setting up for school events and activitiesRequirements

Proven experience working as a Premises Officer, Caretaker, or in a similar role within an educational setting
Strong working knowledge of building maintenance, health and safety, and site management
A proactive and reliable approach with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
