We are recruiting for an experienced Preconstruction Director to join a growing business based in Castleford.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering, with proven experience leading and managing the preconstruction function from tender stage through to project handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the preconstruction process across multiple civils and groundwork projects
* Managing tender strategy, planning, and bid coordination
* Overseeing programme development and project feasibility
* Working closely with estimating, commercial, and operational teams
* Identifying project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
* Supporting successful project delivery through effective preconstruction planning
* Managing client relationships during bid and negotiation stages
Requirements
* Strong background within groundworks and civils
* Proven leadership experience within preconstruction
* Excellent commercial and operational awareness
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience producing and reviewing construction programmes
* Knowledge of planning software such as Oracle Primavera P6 is advantageous
Package
* Salary up to £90,000 depending on experience
