Our privately owned client is a leading name within the enabling works industry that prides itself on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality.
They are a professional, technically minded and modern outfit who have proven success of operating primarily as principle contractor on their projects throughout the City. Much of their work is secured due to repeat business and package values range up to £10M.
As a multifaceted contractor, their core areas of expertise include demolition and dismantling, temporary works, façade retention, structural alterations and substructure packages and current turnover stands in excess of £60M.
Having worked closely with this client for many years, I would highly recommend them due to the fact that they offer an excellent working environment where they encourage professionals to develop in their careers. Furthermore, with a close management team, the business has the ability to offer a real family feel, ensuring that you will be a name rather than just a number within the organisation.
About the opportunity:
Due to company expansion, our client is recruiting permanently for a Pre-Construction Director who will lead and manage all pre-construction activities across the business, ensuring the successful conversion of opportunities into profitable projects. Working closely with clients, consultants, commercial teams and operational delivery teams, you will be responsible for developing winning bid strategies, managing tender submissions, overseeing project planning and methodology development and ensuring that projects are set up for successful delivery.
You will possess extensive experience in enabling works, demolition and structural preparation, temporary works and complex inner city construction environments. You will play a key role in driving business growth, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the strategic objectives of the company.
About the requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold proven experience in operating at the Preconstruction Management or Director level whilst working for an enabling works subcontractor in the UK which undertakes demolition, structural or general enabling works packages. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of construction planning and project sequencing.

For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals who are looking to earn anywhere from £130,000 to £150,000 per annum; however, there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large, successful contractor.
