Our client, a key player in the power utilities and distribution sector, is currently seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to join their team in London. This permanent role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and involves high voltage projects up to 132kv with a focus on overhead lines, substations, and DNO (Distribution Network Operator) related work.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the pre-construction phase of high voltage projects up to 132kv
Developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets
Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment
Overseeing the preparation of project documentation, including NEC contracts and relevant technical specifications
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Identifying potential project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Facilitating effective communication between DNOs, contractors, and other project partners
Providing technical input and leadership during the project planning phase
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in managing pre-construction phases of power distribution projects, focusing on high voltage systems up to 132kv
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and their application within the power sector
Familiarity with projects in the 33kv, 132kv, and 11kv ranges
Experience in overhead line and substation projects
Understanding of DNO-related work and regulatory requirements
Excellent project management and organisational skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with a flexible approach to remote and on-site work
