Are you a skilled PLC Software Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a designer and manufacturer of special purpose machinery, is seeking an engineer to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, bespoke automated systems for high-profile customers across regulated industries. You'll play a key role in the full project lifecycle - taking concepts from initial specification through to commissioning and customer handover.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and implement PLC software for bespoke automated machinery
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and project engineering teams
Support machine FAT/SAT activities and on-site commissioning
Produce and maintain technical documentation
Provide technical input during design reviews and customer meetings
Ideal Experience
PLC programming proficiency (Siemens preferred)
Background working with pharmaceutical equipment or other regulated sectors such as food & beverage, medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or FMCG
Experience delivering automation solutions for special purpose machinery, robotics, or complex production systems
Strong understanding of machine safety standards and validation processes
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
A proactive engineer with excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication and the ability to engage confidently with customers
Someone who enjoys variety and the challenge of developing one-off solutions
Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning
