Learning Support Assistant - Romford

We are seeking a caring and committed Personal Care Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming special school in Romford. This role is to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs in a structured and supportive environment focused on education and training.

As a Personal Care Teaching Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils with personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and feeding where required

Assisting students during lessons to help them access learning and engage with activities

Working one-to-one or in small groups to support individual learning and development targets

Supporting pupils with mobility around the school in line with care plans

Helping to manage behaviour positively and promote emotional regulation

Assisting with classroom preparation and adapting resources to meet SEN needs

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality education and training

Ensuring pupils feel safe, supported, and encouraged throughout the school day
